After reviewing lots of companies, this seemed like the best one for us as we wanted somewhere with good reviews and offered beach buggies. Katerina kept in touch via WhatsApp which was a really easy way to communicate as she explained everything we needed to know and answered any questions. She collected us free of charge from our hotel on the other side of the island (Faliraki) in her Fiat 500. Katerina spoke good English and was very friendly. When we got to the shop, she explained everything in detail, showed us how to drive the buggy, where to get fuel, what the expectations were and videoed the condition of the buggy and sent it via WhatsApp before handing over the keys. The buggy was automatic and we didn’t need helmets, which little did I know would come in handy as my other half ended up proposing to me on our travels around the island and my hair didn’t look so bad in the photos! I did plait my hair and we brought bandanas for our faces and I’m glad we did as my hair continually would’ve gotten very knotty (I brought a hairbrush with me) and it can get dusty/flies to your face in the open buggy. The top box isn’t lockable so make sure you have a way of taking your valuables with you when you get out and have a wander about on foot. We travelled approximately 120 miles in the buggy across the island and loved it! The only thing we may have changed was the buggy we hired was quite noisy and hard to talk to each other. The longer roads it sounded quite drowning! But it was reliable and easier to park in some places than a car. You can’t move the seat forward and back, only the steering wheel up and down which meant it wasn’t as comfortable for me to drive being 5’6ft so my 6’3ft fiancé drove us mostly. There was no hidden costs, big deposit or unreasonable restrictions. We drove the buggy back to our hotel after we were finished and they collected the keys from our reception - simple! Excellent customer service from start to finish. We rang Spirit Rent A Car at 9am and was collected from our hotel by 10am. When we arrived, they showed us the ATV buggy we were hiring and it was in excellent condition. The whole hire process was very smooth and the day hire price was very cheap compared to others. We spent the day travelling around a large part of the island and had an amazing time. Once we dropped the buggy back off, they kindly took us back to our hotel as well. Couldn’t fault the service at all — would 100% use again and highly recommend!
